At the end of last month, I went to a restaurant specialises oysters with my colleagues. It’s an oyster hut called Shimada Suisan. We’ve wanted to go to the oyster hut and a guy was leaving the company so we decided to eat for a dinner as a going-away party.

The oyster hut was above and beyond our expectations. The location was really nice. The place was on the sea.

We can hava a BBQ at the place. First, we buy ingredients: oysters, other seafood, meats and some dishes via smartphone. Then we grill them over charcoal fire.


Hiroshima Prefecture is the largest producer of oysters in Japan. Hiroshima has a calm sea and it’s suitable for oyster farms. Thus there are various oyster dishes in Hiroshima.

I can eat raw oysters but it smells a bit fishy so I prefer grilled or fried ones with citrus sauce or squeeze lemons on it to remove its smell. In addition, I scare the food poisoning,
Before, I went to another oyster hut but this oyster huts was really nice. The place is standing in the sea and food was very nice. I feel special about this place.

I enjoyed a meal with friends. I hope to see them again.
