The photo is dark especially around the parfait. So the brightness level needs to be increased. First, let us incerase the brightness level in dark area. It is easy to do it using SHADOW function. It can increase the brightness in dark area.

I moved the slider of SHADOW function in the positive direction, so the brightness of dark area became brighter.

The brightness level around the parfait was increased. But, the parfait is still dark. So I tried to increase the brightness using BRIGHTNESS function as much as I could.

The BRIGHTNESS function can either increase or decrease the brightness level .

I moved the slider of BRIGHTNESS function to increase the brightness of the parfait.

The parfait became brilliant! All areas became brighter.
As I often say, if you increase brightness, increase color.

I increased the slider of SATURATION function in the positive direction to increase color.
