Recently, I explained about soft images, so today, I will make two images: soft image and high contrast image. The mood of the both images is completely opposite. You can understand both images while comparing them.
HIGH CONTRAST IMAGE
This is a photo of Mocha. First, I will make a high contrast image.
It’s easy. Just move the slider of CONTRAST function towards the positive direction. I’m using the function on Instagram app.
CONTRAST function can make a strong contrast image or a soft image.
The dark area became darker. The bright area became brighter. The photo has a powerful mood.
SOFT(LOW CONTRAST) IMAGE
Next, I will make a soft image like I did in the previous blog.
I moved the slider of SHADOW function towards the positive direction to increase brightness of the dark area. So the shadows became brighter.
As I increased the brightness, I will increase the color. If you do not know the basics about how to adjust color, please check this page. It’s easy.
I moved the slider of SATURATION function towards the positive direction to increase color.
Finally, I will fine-tune the brightness because I am seeing a bit dark image.
I moved the slider of BRIGHTNESS function to increase the brightness.
Let us compare the high contrast image with the soft image.
