UNDER DEVELOPING

Six rivers flow through Hiroshima city as shown in the photo below. The city had been developed along with the course of the rivers.

There are two world heritage sites in Hiroshima Prefecture. The first heritage site is the well known atomic bomb dome. Its architectural design is very famous and this dome is located in the center near castle as shown in the map above.

1 . Atomic Bomb Dome

Lantern Festival At Atomic Bomb Dome on Aug 6

Children and others can write down something on the Lantern papers and then throw it into this river while praying for peace.  You can join in the festival and buy a lantern at about 500 yen and throw it into this river.

2 . Itsukushima Shrine

Considered To Be One Of The National Treasures

The shrine is made of wood and standing in the sea since 1000 years ago. It is not fixed on the ground because of the special build design that make it appear to be floating on the water.
