In 1974, nobody thought that there were still Japanese soldiers in this world, much less soldiers continuously battling as if there’s still an on-going the war. However, accidentally, some Japanese soldiers were discovered in Lubang Island in Mindoro, Philippines. One of them, Hiroo Onoda, a 2Lt. Army Officer and was 52 years old at that time, had been hiding in the jungle with the mission of fighting. He was still active-duty soldier with fighting spirit. His unfading military character surprised a lot of people all over the world.
Hiroo Onoda had been having only 1 thing in his mind for about 30 years. It was the accomplishment of his mission. To descend from the mountain absolutely needed the order from his boss. Without the order from his boss, he would not do this task.
He had been fighting for about 30 years under the spell of the words from his boss, “Fight though you are only the remaining survivor”.
