How does your government support your health after you get infected with Covid-19 ?

I am writing about my experience in Japan after infection this year.

First, I got Omicron variant from 4-year-old little kid. The kid came to my house and I played and had meals with her. Such little kids come close and speak to us loudly😅. We found the kid had a high fever and took her to a hospital. She tested positive. Next, my family membres tested positive. Then, I had a strong headache and high fever. Next, my relatives had a fever and cough. The little girl’s kindergarten was the source of Omicron variant. Kids scattered the virus to their family members and staff members. The school was closed😱

I got infected with Omicron for the first time. After infection, I followed the following guideline.

Guideline for patients

A doctor gave me the above guideline. It says

1. Over 65-year-old citizens must call a public health center. Elders are checked by the staff members carefully.

2. The others need to send their body condition and temperature to the health center via smartphone or laptop. It is not mandatory.

3. In principle, patients have to stay home for a week.

A doctor gave me only a fever reducer and told me “Take a rest”. lol

However, elders who have a pre-existing conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, etc received a few medicines including a oral antivirus drug called “ラゲブリオ”(English name : Molnupiravir).

Patients can request relief goods. I requested the goods so 2 days later, I received two boxes from Hiroshima City.

I opened the boxes. So there were food and daily supplies.

1. FOOD

apple juice x 5, energy drink x 5. vegetable juice x3, water x 3,

canned mackerel x4, canned beef x 1, canned horse x1, canned fruit x 3,

rice porridge x1, microwavable rice x11,

instant noodle x4, instant soup x2, pre-packed food x 5

2. Daily Sypplies

vynil gloves x 2, kitchen papers x1, plastic bags x1, roll of toilet paper x5, box tissies x1, masks x1, detergent x1, hand soap x1, alcohol-based sanitizer x1

Fortunately, after I took a fever reducer, my pain was gone immediately. The following day, I was in good condition so I re-started working. I never received vaccines but I had minor symptoms. Sometimes I had a slight fever and a headache though, I had working as usual.

However, there was a problem. I slept morning and afternoon so my internal body clock was off. I could not sleep late at night for a few days.

Fortunately, most of my family members recovered quickly. We enjoyed with the above food at home. Only a 15 year-old boy who had vaccines had a high fever for a week. He got infected twice this year. We do not know why…

How about your country? I heard that the covid is spreading widely again. Your country will provide a special support? Or nowadays, nobody care about Covid-19?
