I quickly edited this photo using very basic functions on Instagram. The result is really beautiful, isn’t it?
How do you edit this photo?
It’s easy. I did within a few minutes. There are a few steps to edit your photo using basic functions on Instagram app or other apps. Furthermore, such a baklit photo become a beautiful or powerful photo than you can imagine.
You can do it within a few minutes in the near future.
STEP1. BRIGHTEN DARK AREA
Now, you can see the dark sandwitch. First, we need to make it bright using SHADOW function. It can increase the brightness of dark area. Just increase the slider.
You can see the difference. The dark sandwitch became a bright one.
STEP2 : Increse Color
After you increased brightness, usually your photo became whitish.
Please increase color using Saturation function until the photo becomes vivid. Saturation is also a basic function of Instagram and other apps.

Color is always changing according to the brightness. If you change the brightness, you need to adjust color.

Step 3. Make the photo Clearer
You can do it easily using SHARPEN function. Usually, the function is called SHARPNESS on other apps.

Step 4. Fine-tune
The photo had been imprioved dramatically. The result is already much better than the original one.
To me, I think the sandwitch is a little bit dark. So I’d like to fine-tune the photo. This is for your reference.
I will use HIGHLIGHT function to brighten the reflection on the river. The HIGHLIGHT function increases the brightness of the bright area.
I increased the brightness of the photo, so I need to increase the color.
Done!
I fine-tunned the photo quality. The reflections on the river and the sandwitch became a bit brighter. The color of fruits also became vivid.

I often take baklit photos purposely. I want to make a bright photo. The background is already bright so I just brighten the target and fine-tune it.
